Admitting It Is The First Step

I have an addiction. Well actually, I have a few of them...but one of my most recent ones is note cards and greeting cards. This is just a part of my collection:

I love strolling the card aisles of stores looking for ones that crack me up. I like stockpiling them. I like buying the little boxed sets. I love looking at museum gift shops for unique ones. I love sorting and filing them (my OCD rears its head). I love stores like Papyrus that are dedicated almost completely to cards.

I also love sending them, but I don't do it very much...I guess I'm more of a collector...even though this is one of those things meant to be used.

Here's a funny one I found lately that made me laugh because of how it related to my JITT post.

I like to think that if we were all Victorian ladies we'd be having the same conversations.

So this brings me to the next step in my greeting card addiction 12 step program. I resolve to use them. And not just because of the joy it might bring to others...but more importantly because if I use them, I get to buy more!!

I have the same problem! I love buying cards. I'm a little sad that you can't find stationary in a lot of places. It's all note cards. But what if I want to write a long letter to someone? Where's the cute paper for that?

Oh, and I've tagged you. Read my blog for more info.

I do the same thing. In fact, be looking in your mailbox for a little "thank you" surprise!
