Why I Should Not Be Allowed To Wear Jewelry

Many of you know I've never been much of a jewelry wearer. I pretty much wore the same cubic zirconia stud earrings (we call them diamonoids in our house...special prize for anyone who knows the TV reference for that one) every day. But with my recent post-plastic surgery wardrobe changes, I was encouraged...forced even...to wear accessories. Thanks again Kyla!! Overall, I think it's a good thing. It certainly makes an ensemble look more pulled together when wearing coordinating accessories. And come on, if you add sparkley things, you know I'm going to love it!

However, there are certain people who tend to be a little fidgety by nature. Add to that a few dangling earrings or stretch bracelets and we have problems! Throughout the course of a regular day, you can probably see me do the following:
  • play with the beads on my necklace at least 47 times (but I pretend that I'm doing that to turn the necklace so the clasp is in the back)

  • take off my bracelets, stretch them out, move them from wrist to wrist, etc.

  • take off my ring frequently, trying it on every finger as far as it will go. (and yes, for those of you that remember the story of me trying on my friend's wedding ring with tragic results, this can be scary)

  • take off my earrings (if they have no backs) and put them back on

This is one of the many, many things that I irritate myself with on a daily basis. I can only imagine how annoying it is to those that have to watch me!

I'm totally the same. I can't stop playing with my jewelry. I've broken more bracelets than I can count.
