I'm It

So, I've been tagged - just like the rest of you. Here are the 6 things about me:

1) I have no problem with blood being drawn or an IV being inserted. I actually kind of like watching my blood get drawn. I think it's fascinating...and if that makes me some sort of Vampira, then so be it!

2) I want to go to culinary school, and maybe even have my own cooking show on the Food Network. It would mostly be pastry and desserts. Sometimes, when I'm cooking at home, I pretend I do have a cooking show and talk out loud and explain the steps. Every once in a while, I even pre-measure all the ingredients in little bowls. Pathetic, I know.

3) I LOVE having things alphabetized.

4) As an addendum to #3, and showing further evidence that I have OCD, I am very paranoid about certain things and must go through a ritual on a regular basis. For example, I can't leave certain things plugged in - like a toaster, a blender or an iron. I must unplug them before I go to bed. Now, logically, I know that there are other things that remain plugged in 24/7, but for some reason, leaving the toaster plugged in makes me think there will be a fire. Also, every night before bed, I look in every closet or cupboard large enough to hold a person to make sure I don't have an intruder. I also look under the bed and in my hope chest. I also double check the locks about 4 times - even though I know I already checked them. Yes, I'm a freak.

5) Like Liz, I have insomnia issues also. To help me fall asleep, I either fantasize about finding a date or fantasize about having zillions of dollars. One of the first things I do (after handing out a lot of it to my family and friends) is very similar to something Heather mentioned. I go on a huge vacation with my family. Then, I take all my friends on a first class, fancy vacation to Europe. We fly first class, stay in fancy hotels, hire private drivers and guides in every country, go to all the places we want to see, etc. I pay for everything. I pay for your time away from work. I provide LOTS of spending money for everyone. Good times!

6) I am addicted to lip balm and lotion. I can't stand the thought of being without a tube of lip balm. It makes me crazy. Seriously. When the whole security measure about not bringing liquids and gels on airplanes started (before you were allowed to take some in a baggie), I thought - I will never be able to fly again because I can't take lip balm with me. I bet I apply it 20 or 30 times a day - at least. My favorite kind is Avon's Moisture Therapy.

I guess that just about sums me up. And I don't have anyone else to tag either...although I liked Liz's idea about making up people. Mine aren't exactly made up entirely by me, but they are people I wish were real, or wish I knew so I could tag them. I tag...Jack Bauer, Dr. House, Dr. McDreamy (my TV boyfriends), Paula Deen...I can't think of any others right now.

I'm with you on number one (except people have a hard time finding my veins, so it can be unpleasant).

I wish I was like you on number three. I like the idea of everything alphabetized, but I'm too lazy to bring it to fruition.

I LOVE your #5 and would be happy to accompany you on any and all trips you would take with your zillions of dollars. I would even quite my job and become your personal assistant. Oh, that would be the life!

And I'll have to try the Avon lip balm. I'm always looking for a new brand.

Lizzie - You could totally be my personal assistant! I would pay you just to go to school (if you want) and make me laugh...and you could teach me guitar!

Avon lip balm is the best! I order like 20 or 30 of them at a time because I have them laying all over the house.

I too have a lip balm addiction. But I'm strictly a Burt's Bees girl, ever since ChapStick turned on me.

So when are we actually going to go to culinary school -- you know I'm dying to also. And last year for my birthday Gina bought me some prep bowls, and you better believe I have made up cooking shows every time I use them. We need to look into this.

Katie - now that I don't have the added expense of flying out to CA, I am totally in for a culinary thing! Do you remember the place that you were looking at a couple of years ago?
