Separation Anxiety

For the past two weeks (actually 15 days) I have been without two of my favorite things. Being without these two things made me feel out of touch, alone and like I was living back in 1942! I have missed these things. They are two things that no person should ever have to do without! And the joy...the sheer joy in being with them again has been anticipated all 15 of these long, lonely days.

These two things are SO fabulous, that they are both near the top of my list of favorite things. If I were Julie Andrews, I would sing a song about them. It would go something like this..."raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. TV and internet tied up with strings...these are a few of my favorite things". OK, so it needs some work...but you get the idea.

So this morning, I've added a new person to my list of favorite people...the Direct TV/cable modem Guy! His name was Brad (actually, I don't know what his name is, but go with it). He was tall, young, good looking, blah blah....I don't care about any of that. What I do care about is the big beautiful lot of cables and modems and DirectTV boxes (with DVR) that he was carrying!

Seeing Brad was the first glimmer of hope. And then, 45 minutes later, two more glimmers...the first view of my email inbox and my first view of the Food Network in more than two weeks! Remember the anticipated joy I mentioned earlier? Well, at these two moments, the anticipation ended, and the joy was realized!

So obviously, this leads to me finally getting my blog up and running. I have aspirations to be as entertaining as Liz, Rachel and Amanda. I will do my best. Enjoy!

OH, and I also love meat wrapped in butcher paper. It makes me feel like Alice from the Brady Bunch.
