I really hate those cracks in the sidewalk that are filled with that spongy, rubbery stuff. Ya know what I'm talking about? They seem to be more prevalent in California (maybe because of earthquakes?). Anyway, they're irritating. Not only do you get your heel stuck in them when you're walking, but your heel also sinks in about 2 inches causing a) a big giant scuff on your really cute shoes and b) a very embarrassing tripping moment.
And yes, I just experienced both of those and am not thrilled about it.

Hey, we have those in Wisconsin as well. In fact there is one of those on the street between my driveway and my mailbox, so several times as I've been on my way to collect my US Weekly, I have had similar shoe eating experiences. Sorry to hear about your embarassing moment.
