Candy

I'm going to jump on the Rachel bandwagon and talk about a new candy I recently discovered. Fortunately, this one doesn't have a picture of big, fat, sweaty Elvis on the package.

So I was at Target strolling through the candy aisle (sadly, one of my favorite pastimes) and I saw a bag of 3 Musketeers minis. That sounded kind of good, but the package looked a little unusual. When I looked more closely, I noticed they were 3 Musketeers Mint!


That seemed a little odd to me. I mean, I couldn't imagine what that light brown, fluffy nougaty stuff would taste like with a hint of mint. However, I thought...if they were awful, I could at least write a funny letter to Mars (a la banana CREME peanut butter cups) and post it on the blog for your enjoyment. So, I bought them.

Well let me just say that they are fabulous! I ripped open the package in the car on the way home from Target to check them out. First of all, the nougaty stuff isn't the light brown color - it's white (a la my skin). It tastes just like a York Peppermint Patty only less intense and the filling is fluffier, less dense. Hey - that rhymed! I'm not a huge fan of Peppermint Patties because the filling is too dense. This is the perfect solution!

So that I can be just like Rachel when I grow up, I think I will write a letter to Mars anyway - congratulating them on a job well done. And hopefully, now that I'm hooked on these tiny little mint morsels, they won't get a bunch of letters from Rachel wannabes telling them that the product stinks so they take it off the market.
