5 Things

Inspired by Liz's post, I've decided to create my own list of 5 things I'm not good at. This list is certainly not all-inclusive! Goodness knows I could probably create a list of 424, 392 things I'm not good at! Here goes:
  1. Eating healthy. I try, I really do...but I swear the peanut butter M&Ms and cookies call out my name. I hate to be rude, so I don't want to ignore them!
  2. Video games that involve steering a car, batting a bat or involve using multiple buttons at the same time. Trust me, I'm horrible!
  3. Making my bed. I got into the habit a couple years ago when I was selling my house in Texas. Obviously it had to be made all the time for showings, but now I rarely do it. Another little quirk about me...I don't like the sheets and blankets to be tucked in at the bottom...it feels too restrictive. Another reason I don't make the bed...there's far less of a point to it!
  4. Making cakes from scratch. Despite my baking skills, cakes from scratch just never seem to taste as good as a mix!
  5. Guitar. Most of you know I'm a guitar class drop-out!

Hey! I can't do some of those things, too! (No wonder I like you.)

I'm pretty good at video games though (which is why I had to put a moratorium on them). I have no self-control with video games (or cookies, by the way).

I thought I had this compulsion under control until I started playing with one of my nephews a couple months ago. I found myself competing with him! My little 6 year-old nephew. I wanted to crush him!!

That's when the video game ban came back into affect.

Laura, you aren't alone in the cake department. I have rarely had a homemade cake that I liked better than box cakes. Even wedding cakes that are fancy...don't really like 'em.

I hate steering video games. I'm horrible. I always feel like if I move my body with the hand controller, that I will manage to win. It doesn't help. I still end up in the snow bank, wall, etc.

I'm not allowed to play video games either. I'm really bad at them, but feel this compulsion to beat the entire game...If I started one, I'd probably never stop playing.
