If you were given money to remodel your house/apartment, what would you change first?
The first thing I'd want to change would be to magically transform my apartment into a house. But since that's not possible, the first thing I'd want to change would be the kitchen. I'd want to expand the counter space and replace the fake stone-like Formica with granite. I'd want a new sink with the sprayer thingy and a garbage disposal that doesn't smell like it's been disposing for 10 years! I'd also want a larger gas stove with at least two large burners (side note...for the rest of you that live in apartments, do you have 3 little burners and one big one? The last two apartments I've lived in have been like that and it's really irritating. I guess they figure that some lonely soul in a one bedroom apartment doesn't cook much). Lastly, I would want some more cupboard space including a large pantry. Is that too much to ask?

I'd change the floor in my apt. I don't know what's going on under the carpet, but it feels like the floor boards are buckling up in some places. It's all lumpy and bumpy. Very annoying.
Other than that, any money I was given to remodel my apt., I'd keep. No need to waste it on a place I can't paint!
(Oh, and the burners on my stove are all the same size.)
I would change our master bathroom. It is all tiled with pink tile accents. The tub and shower are a subtle pink and all the fixtures are gold.
Yup! Gotta change.
Well, I would move, first. But if I couldn't do that, and I think Katie would agree with this, I would triple the size of the kitchen. Which would just make it about the size of a normal one. You can barely fit two people in there.
I would put in new flooring - hardwood all downstairs, new nice tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, new carpet upstairs. After that I'd replace all the bathroom fixtures from mirrors to toilets. I can't wait to do that someday.
Given money, I'd buy a house. I don't have a place right now, so I can't really improve it. I'm not greedy, I'd settle for a condo.
Totally agree with Rachel -- The kitchen would be tripled in size. We are constantly doing the kitchen dance, trying to do anything in there is practically impossible.
I'm a kitchen girl too. First things first--get a dish washer!(other than myself) Next, the money would go into a good Wolfe Stove--professional grade with a griddle in the middle. Yep, that would be the life.
