By the middle of the day, I've usually found something more appealing (and deliciously NOT on the food pyramid) to snack on and forget all about the apple. So, I zip it back up at the end of the night, take it home and start the process again. The apple in the picture has been on about 5 round trips from home to work. It's a wonder it's not so bruised it's inedible. I'll try again today, but I'm guessing my personal food pyramid will be upside down as usual!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who always intends to eat better, but then finds the unhealthy foods more appealing.
Dear Apple,
Hang in there little buddy. You'll make it to the food chain some day. Maybe you could consider cutting your self up. Or taking a bath in some peanut butter, or caramel, or chocolate. ...or all three...mmmmmmm...
Love,
Heather
Heather, I LOVE that mini-letter. So true!
Laura, I suffer from the same problem. Sigh.
Hey, I love your lunch box. Maybe I should upgrade from my brown bag, so I feel fancier!
I did the same thing about a month ago. Poor little apple. I've learned to hold off on bringing the apple unless I bring some peanut butter with it. But I usually bring grapes. Easier to eat.
Heather - love the letter! So true! I vote for Mr. Apple to dive into the caramel, or that stuff you make out of cream cheese and marshmallow fluff!
Lizzie - I vote for you to get a fancy lunch box. You can see mine up close and personal tomorrow. It will probably still have the apple in it!
Rachel - you know what's easier to eat than grapes? Peanut butter M&Ms!
Laura-
it's the thought that counts, right?
As I'm reading all of this, I'm eating a Hostess Little Chocolate Donut, which truly is a divine invention, staring at my bananas thinking I should probably switch my snack out. Or maybe not.
