So I'm sitting in my hotel in Rome. I know! I've been in Italy a week already and still can't believe I'm in Italy!
So far, we spent 3 days in Venice, 4 days in Florence and will be in Rome for 4 days. Venice is my favorite so far. It still feels old world since there are no cars. SO beautiful! The wonder of how old everything is is the amazing part to me so far. Walking in to buildings that were built in the 1100s is just crazy.
We just got to Rome today and my dad and I wandered around our hotel and got a little lost. But...we ran in to a bridge built in around 200 AD. I couldn't believe it. Absolutely amazing. I can't download the pictures to this computer, but I will send a link to my Kodak Gallery when I get home. And yes, there will probably be like 300 pictures.
Cooking school in Florence was amazing too. Very simple dishes, but delicious...maybe my favorite meal so far. I will cook it for all of you when I get back. We also got to go to a medieval walled city yesterday called Lucca. The protective wall still completely surrounds the city, and in most of the parts, you can still see where the mote used to be.
It's been an amazing trip so far and I can't wait to see the sites of Rome tomorrow. I'll update you all soon!

Wow! That sounds amazing! I can't wait to see your pictures.
Did you ride a bike on the wall in Lucca. We didn't because we got there way too late, but we walked all over it. Isn't it beautiful? It's one of those hidden treasures of Italy, in my opinion.
Remember to get to the Sistine chapel tour seriously early. It took forever for us to get in the building, but so worth it.
So happy you're having such a wonderful time!
YAY! I can't wait for all the details!!!!!!!!!
You're so international...
